Out of The Loop
Sometimes it’s funny to me that I used to have a [very] modestly popular blog in ‘00-‘01, when 99 out of 100 people didn’t even know what a blog was.
I was way ahead of the times. I had my own domain. I coded by hand. I learned Photoshop and did my own graphic design.
I don’t remember exactly why I decided to close up shop, but I often can’t help but wonder...
Pinteractive Challenge
Forgive me if this is a bit hastily written. I’m not so used to this writing thing anymore, and my brain is a bit foggy. But I’ve got a deadline, my friends! And I’ll stick to my word of participation.

The funny thing about Nanette’s Pinteractive Challenge is that I was planning on doing these things anyway; it was just the...

Pinteresting
Nanette created a challenge for her readers this week: actually DO/CREATE/COOK/BAKE something they’ve pinned on Pinterest.
I know I’m guilty of this - I pin recipes, projects, and hair-styles with the best of intentions. Then, life gets in the way. I’m too tired in the morning to try that cute ‘do I pinned [I’m embarrassed to admit that sometimes I leave myself less...

You Can't Make This Up
After letting him back in from a bathroom break, Parker ran upstairs to the quarantine area where Zac’s been hanging out for the last few days. I was right behind him, when Parker decided it was the perfect time to “steal” one of Zac’s slippers to try and incite a game of chase.
This unwanted behavior requires us to wrangle him so we can give him a spritz of bitter spray....

What a difference 3 weeks makes
10 pounds down, 40 more to go. I can really see a change in my body, and I am diggin’ it.
The livin' is easy
Summer finally arrived in Seattle a few weeks ago, and it has been glorious. It’s these very summery days that makes us realize “Okay, THIS is why we live here.”
It makes up for the other 320 days that are miserably gloomy. I just want to bottle up the sunshine and keep it close to my heart, so that whenever the melancholy gray of winter is upon us, I can savor the warmth and...

1 week down, a lifetime to go
Today marks one week of my weight loss/lifestyle change adventure. I am currently down about 5.5 pounds, and I’m feelin’ good.
Eating small meals every 3 hours or so really agrees with me. I HATE feeling hungry, it actually makes me angry. In the last year, I’ve noticed hypoglycemia becoming more of an issue if I don’t eat somewhat regularly. So, this is perfect. It helps...
Moving Forward
Tonight Zac purchased 2 year memberships to 24 Hour Fitness. It’s getting real, y’all.
I AM DOING THIS.
Counting
I’m in day 2 of counting calories - my way of easing into weight loss. For the last, oh, 4 years, I’ve been putting it off. I already mastered procrastination. But this weight loss thing? It’s been unattainable for whatever reason.
Laziness, sure. Genetics? Maybe a little. Bad choices, you know it! I’m done, though.
I’m strong. I can do this. I’m tired of not...
Life as a casino employee
Sometimes I feel like I’m in a real life version of the game Frogger. Only, the cars are old Asian people.
